when he looks into a person's eyes and glimpses an ethereal energy reserved for above. Does he write about them? This person?The feelings? What does he see? I ask because I don't know if a man has ever truly been in love with me. Because from what I know from film and books, there's a change in the way he acts that starts with the second time he looks.
But if love was a full meal, I've only had the appetizer version. Just a taste, but more than enough to develop a heartbroken sort of aversion. So I'm left to wonder what it's like if he's nervous at the door, when he takes a second glance, if it's because he needed to take the sight of me in for just a second more.
Does he plan around it or make plans with it in mind? Does he leave secret messages that he hopes I'll one day find? In song lyrics hastily posted? In text messages he drafted before they were sent? When a man is truly in love, does he always say what he meant? Does he think of me in roses? Roses that he should have bought? Am I just a passing moment or an everlasting thought? Does he drive home safer? Does he hold space in his heart? Does he take the time to kiss the pain that is hidden behind such poetic art? I wonder what he's like, but that man I haven't met.
So if you wonder what a woman is like when she's truly in love,I don't know more than just the fictional version of her yet.
